MoorMaster NxG – Automated vacuum mooring for safer, faster operations

MoorMaster NxG is Cavotec’s latest automated vacuum mooring solution, designed to improve safety, efficiency, and reliability in container terminal operations. Using vacuum pads mounted on the quay, the system attaches to a vessel’s hull and secures it in less than 30 seconds—eliminating the need for conventional mooring lines. This fully automated approach removes manual line handling, improving safety while reducing berthing times. By minimising vessel movement, MoorMaster NxG enables more efficient cargo handling and supports consistent operations even in challenging conditions. It also contributes to reduced emissions by lowering reliance on tugboats and vessel thrusters, while enabling faster connection to shore power.
