Hangzhou Huaxin Mechanical & Electrical Engineering Co., Ltd. was established in 1993 through the restructuring of the Power Station Auxiliary Machinery Division of Hangzhou Machinery Design and Research Institute under the Ministry of Electric Power Industry, a research institute directly under the central government. In July 2015, it was reorganized into a wholly-owned subsidiary of Zhuzhou Tianqiao Crane Co., Ltd. (TQCC, Stock Code: 002523), a state-controlled listed company, with a registered capital of RMB 201 million. It is a National High-tech Enterprise and a National Key "Little Giant" Enterprise.

Inheriting the design and R&D heritage of scientific research institutes, the company learned, digested and absorbed advanced foreign technologies in its early stage, and independently developed and designed China’s first low-headroom, lightweight and energy-saving overhead crane and four-drum grab ship unloader. The company manufactures large overhead and gantry cranes, grab ship unloaders, screw coal unloaders, ship loaders, container quay cranes, yard rail-mounted gantry cranes, etc. Many technologies adopted in these products are domestically pioneering and maintain a leading position in China. Our products are widely applied not only in thermal power, hydropower, nuclear power, metallurgy, port, shipbuilding and major equipment manufacturing sectors, but also in building materials, chemical industry, environmental protection and other industries, and have been exported to dozens of countries worldwide.

In recent years, the company has prioritized innovation-driven development, adopting a development strategy featuring high-end, intelligent, green, international and systematic development. It has successively built R&D platforms including a National Postdoctoral Workstation, Provincial Key Enterprise Research Institute and Provincial Enterprise Technology Center. The company has developed a range of new equipment and systems, and successfully transformed into a system solution provider for material handling in terminals, power-dedicated material handling and metallurgical material handling sectors.
