Guide troughs are used in long travels, from 5m - 12m depending on the type of chain. They support the smooth, low-friction operation of the igus energy chains and energy tubes. If the feeding point is located at the Centre of the travel, the energy chains glide on themselves for half the travel. For the other half, we recommend glide bars installed in the trough, on which the e-chains glide. Guide troughs have glide bars made of highly abrasion-resistant plastic (exception RS - steel mating surface).
