Rail clamps serve as storm brakes for crane installations for outdoor use, e.g. gantry cranes, grab type ship unloaders etc.
They secure the crane against the track and prevent drift/run away conditions.
SIBRE RB rail clamps are released electro-hydraulically, and close with spring force in the case of a power failure, emergency stop, or via an installed wind measurement device
